The Jailbreak Apple TV allows the introduction of a bug through a disturbance tool which completes the jailbreak. The Seas0npass tool is exclusively for the Jailbreak Apple TV 2G, it gives the user the ability to create a custom IPSW file so they can re-establish based jailbreak rather than ramdisk jailbreak.

Before attempting the Jailbreak Apple TV you will need the following:

• Apple TV 2G
• A Micro USB Cable
• Computer which is running either MAC OS X 10.6 or higher or Microsoft XP or later
• Latest version of iTunes

Please note that if you are wanting to update your  Apple TV with the latest iOS to use Sea0npass, the Plex Plugin is presently not supported.

How to Jailbreak Apple TV -

Step 1. Get your hands on the latest version of Seas0npass by downloading it for your Mac or Windows OS. You will need to unzip the file once download has completed to launch

Step 2. Two options will be presented; you will need to click on ‘Create IPSW’

Step 3. Seas0npass will use the already downloaded Apple TV firmware to create a custom jailbroken file

Step 4. Using your Micro USB cable you will be prompted to connect your Apple TV, a light on the front of it should flash rapidly, when this happens you need to point the remote at the Apple TV box then hold down the ‘Menu’ and ‘Play/Pause’ buttons for several seconds.

Step 5. Once you have counted to 10 (slowly) iTunes will open and begin the restore process.

Step 6. iTunes will let you know when this has been successfully carried out . And that’s it, done. If you aren’t 100% sure if the break has been successful you can double check by launching your Apple TV and viewing the interface. It should now have a small FC in the bottom right hand corner. If you see it then you know that Jailbreak Apple TV has worked.
