The Download Untethered Jailbreak iOS5.0.1 has just come out! It has become available in two forms. The first here is a Redsn0w 0.9.10 and pwnage Tool brought to you by the iPhone Dev team and the second is a Cydia Version brought to you by the Chronic Dev team.

Thanks to the wonderful and talented @pod2g an untethered 5.0.1 Jailbreak is now available for non A5 devices. If you have been following his blog at all, you will know he has been working away tirelessly for the last couple of months and only a short few days ago released the untether to both the iPhone devteam and the chronic devteam.

How to get it.

You need to have one of the following: iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, iPad 1, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4-CDMA.

Step 1) Ensure it has been updated and your device is on iOS 5.0.1 then Jailbreak and untether with the latest redsn0w  0.9.10.

Step 2) If you are on 5.0.1 already with an untethered Jailbreak you can either install the Cydia package which has already been prepared by the Chronic Devteam or you can run Redsn0w 0.9.10 over the top of your existing Jailbreak. If you choose the second option ensure you deselect ‘Install Cydia’.

Step 3) If you are using a hybrid configuration of 5.0/5.0.1, don’t attempt to install the untether over the setup as it will most likely put your device in a reboot cycle. You will need to sync then do a fresh restore 5.0.1 then you can install the jailbreak and untether.
