Apple TV 4.4.4 Firmware Update Now Available [Download]
Apple has just updated its firmware for Apple TV and is now running the version Apple TV 4.4.4 stating that a series of bug fixes was the reason behind the new release.

The Apple tv 4.4.4 doesnt present any new features at all, so its really only necessary if you were experiencing any problems with the now out of date 4.4.3 as the change log notes here from Apple:
“General performance and stability improvements, including a fix for an issue that displayed an error when playing some video content.” While upgrades are always great, its nothing compared to the rumors surrounding Apple lately and what they apparently plan to do in the near future involving home entertainment systems. Rumors are flying around the web that they have a firm eye on the TV market where they plan to incorperate their own TV sets along with apple TV and Siri, creating the ultimate Apple experience at home.For now however, its all just rumors and the only fact we have today is the Apple Tv 4.4.4 which you can download directly from here

I honestly have never tested or used the Apple TV, have 3 Roku XDS boxes and just didn't invest in them. This is one area where Apple didn't blow away the competition like they did with the iPad and iPhone when they were first released.
