Redirection Virus Problem? Read On How To Solve It
Are you being a victim of redirection ? Being redirected every time you try and
search for something over the Internet?you may have just become another
victim of the vicious Malware floating around the Internet. Follow these simple
steps to fix the redirection problem.
If you computer is infected with this problem follow these steps:
Simply go to your run command and type in the “attrib +r atapi.sys” command
press enter and your problem will be solved! you should see a brief command line.
screen pop up. this just means it has refreshed and completed its task.
If for any reason you cant get into your pc to do this follow the steps bellow:
From another networked computer (that has no problems), go to DOS and
change to the c:windowssystem32drivers folder. copy the atapi.sys file
to the computer with the Google redirect problem. The file date (on the problem
computer) will change automatically to today’s date, within seconds after you
copied the file. run the “attrib +r atapi.sys” command to make the file read-only
on the good networked computer. Then copy the read-only file again to the
problem computer. The problem will now be solved.
OR
Go to Internet options then in the advanced column reset your settings. This will buy
you enough time search for a solution.
